I received my medical degree from Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. I completed my internship in internal medicine at Southern Illinois and my residency in radiation oncology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. I have also served as an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida College of Medicine. I am board certified in radiation oncology.

In addition, I have completed specialized training courses in Prostate Seed Implantation at the Northwest Tumor Institute in Seattle, Washington, as well as Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh.
